So far this month, my expenses have consumed more than half of my earnings. At this rate, saving for the future seems manageable—but it requires vigilance. Over the past few months, I’ve focused on cutting unnecessary expenditures, and the effort is already paying off.
Small Sacrifices, Big Savings
I’ve started making small but impactful changes. For example, I’ve cut back on indulgent habits, like buying sweets and eating out frequently. Not only are these expenses costly, but they've also negatively impacted our family's health, leading to doctor visits and even more expenses.

Instead, I make it a point to bring fresh fruits like bananas and apples home almost daily. Isn’t there anything healthier? Sure, my refusal might have upset my wife for a moment, but health and financial stability are non-negotiable.

This philosophy also extends to parenting.
Yesterday, my daughter asked to go on an outing. I politely declined, explaining that money was tight this month and that we’d plan for a trip in December. She understood, and in the process, learned an invaluable lesson: things don’t always go the way we want. Sometimes, a simple “no” teaches patience and resilience better than volumes of books.
